SHIFT - Monday to Friday - 10 pm to 6 am - 40 hours per week ACCOUNTABILITIESEFFECTIVE INSPECTION AND REPAIR OF EQUIPMENTDaily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and strappersRoutine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, compactors, bailers and cardboard conveyorRegular maintenance and repair on all housekeeping, power and material handling equipmentPerform inspection and repair of fire protection equipmentEFFECTIVELY COLLABORATE WITH SENIOR LEADERS AND FELLOW ASSOCIATES TO ACHIEVE A COMMON GOALMeet with department supervisor and/or manager to anticipate and plan for future preventive maintenanceCollaborate with department managers and supervisors to address mechanical opportunities while ensuring optimum processing productivityProvide back-up for department supervisor and/or manager when absentCompile and maintain accurate inventory records and reportsTrain associatesQUALITY MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF FACILITYPerform minor electrical/plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture movesRoutine maintenance of heating and air conditioning unitsMaintain lighting throughout the facilityQUALIFICATIONSREQUIREDWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipmentComply with all MSDS standards and lock out/tag proceduresAbility to work with minimal supervisionMust provide own basic set of tools and keep work area neat and cleanAdhere to company policies and procedures and follow proper safety guidelinesBasic math and reading skills and legible handwritingAbility to work as part of a team and interact effectively with associates and supervisorsAbility to perform tasks consistently and accuratelyRegular attendanceAbility to ensure and maintain confidentialityAbility to use good judgement and problem solving skillsAbility to follow instructions and take directionsEffective verbal and written communication skillsSPECIAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical activity may include time standing/walking up to eight hours with scheduled breaks.
Ability to work in a multi-level environment, including climbing stairs, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting and pushing on a frequent basisAbility to lift up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and 100 pounds on occasion with assistance.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
